Ilana & Ethan's Wedding portraits--Months After Their Wedding

Ilana and Ethan’s wedding portraits didn’t end on their wedding day...

Their destination wedding had been hit with a storm, and while the day was meaningful and unforgettable, Ilana walked away wishing she’d had more time and space for portraits at their venue. Instead of letting that feeling linger, they decided to do something simple and thoughtful: get dressed up again and create the images they didn’t get the first time around.

A few months later, I met Ilana and Ethan for the first time in their hometown of Miami at sunrise. The city was still waking up, the air calm, and the light soft and golden in that fleeting way only early mornings have. Without the constraints of a wedding timeline or unpredictable weather, they were able to slow down, be present, and enjoy the process together.

There’s something uniquely special about returning to wedding portraits after the day has passed. The pressure is gone, the emotions are settled, and what remains is ease and connection. Ilana and Ethan moved naturally—laughing, holding hands, letting the morning unfold—creating images that feel timeless, relaxed, and deeply personal.

These portraits aren’t a redo. They’re an extension of their wedding story, proof that it’s okay to revisit meaningful moments and honor the memories you want to carry forward.
